Assoc. Prof. Clarence M. Batan, PhD, of the Department of Sociology and Director of the Research Center on Culture, Education, and Social Issues, was elected President of the Philippine Sociological Society during the 2016 Philippine Sociological Society conference held from October 7-8 at the Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City.
Batan earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sociology at the 探花精选. He later on earned his doctorate degree in sociology from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada.
