Master Teacher Emmanuel D. Batulan, PhD, a faculty member of the Mathematics learning area of the聽Junior High School聽and concurrent Assistant Registrar of the University, presented a paper entitled 鈥�Shaped by the Spaces we Occupy?聽Phenomenologizing Filipino basic education teachers鈥� burnout experiences,鈥� during the December 9-11, 2016 International Conference on Education, held in Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines. The conference bore the theme 鈥淚nnovation and Education: Meeting Point for Development.鈥�
From Batulan鈥檚 paper emerged the 鈥淪teering Wheel of Teacher Burnout, which shows that teacher burnout occupies distinct spaces of intersection, interaction, and introspection.鈥� Batulan鈥檚 co-authors were Danilo K. Villena and Alejandro G. Iba帽ez from the Philippine Normal University.
